Established in 1997, Ocean Sailing Academy provides sailing instruction from the learn-to-sail level through ocean passage making - all while sharing a love for the endless mosaic known as the sea. More than 1,000 sailors graduate from OSA each year.
Our wide-array of courses includes instruction for beginner
and intermediate sailors, as well courses for seasoned sailors
who wish to strengthen their skills. OSA offers the complete US Sailing Keelboat Certification System, from Basic Keelboat and Cruising courses, all the way through Ocean Passage Making.
In addition to our certification courses, OSA offers a host
of unique sailing activities including family classes, lessons on your own
boat, harbor racing, student-crewed ocean races, Melges 24
racing clinics, teambuilding programs, cruising flotillas,
and bareboat and skippered charters. Located in Charleston,
SC, OSA provides unmatched sailing opportunities for every
level.
