Sunset Cruise & Overnight Anchor in Scenic Charleston Harbor
Your most romantic night in Charleston will be spent on a private yacht sailing the calm harbor at sunset. Your captain will prepare a delicious meal and invite you to bring a bottle of wine of your choice, watching the twinkling lights of Charleston over calm water.
You'll spend the night at anchor in a calm, scenic spot. Feel the gentle lap of water at night, and awaken to the throaty morning call of shorebirds as the sunrise reflects gloriously over the water.
Your captain is an instructor at our academy and welcomes participation at any level you may enjoy in sailing. All our instructors are personable and intuitive, and trained to provide our guests a safe and enjoyable backdrop to their cruise.
Itinerary: Board your yacht at 4 pm for a sunset cruise on a 42' yacht. Spend the night at secluded anchor in Charleston Harbor. Awaken to the smells of breakfast cooking and enjoy your coffee on deck. After breakfast, cruise the harbor. We'll have you back to the slip by noon.

Quarterly Solstice & Equinox Celebrations
What
better place to celebrate than from a floating island in the water
under huge skies, in the wind and under sail on an Ocean Sailing
Academy boat as part of our quarterly Solstice & Equinox Cruises
and Flotilla Celebrations?
"The
Earth takes approximately 365.25 days to go around the Sun. This is the
reason we have a leap year every 4 years: to add another day to our
calendar so that there is not a gradual drift of date through the
seasons. For the same reason, the precise times of the equinoxes are
not the same each year and generally will occur about 6 hours later
each year, with a jump of a day (backwards) on leap years."
In 2011 the dates fall on March 20, June 21, September 23 and December 22.
Evening flotillas will return just after sunset. Feel
the evening breeze at that precise moment when the sun goes down and
you're feeling the last rays of the longest day of the year. Join us on
a sail where the water all
around will reflect what we anticipate to be a magnificent sunset.
If you'd like to spend the night out
so you can experience the absolute completion of each full day, we can arrange that, too!
