Cabo Ricos are are beloved by our sailing guests who value a comfortable motion. The yacht is also fun to sail, fast for a yacht of her weight and an absolute delight to helm. Technically, it is a cutter rig, bluewater, heavy-displacement cruiser. Beyond that, each one has its own flavor, as every Cabo Rico is custom built for the owner who commissioned her.
The sailplan is of modest height, so the Cabo Rico can pass easily beneath Intracoastal Waterway bridges, a feature which also helps control its tilt underway. A cutter foretriangle is standard, keeping the size of the three working sails modest and permitting changing down from the cockpit merely by roller-furling the yankee jib. While a genoa can be carried, it is by no means a necessity–-she's fine with the smaller yankee.
The galley is large, with room for lots of gourmet items on an overnight sail. In fact the living space in general is roomy and extremely comfortable.
Bliss' owner Frank Putnam is a long-time OSA Instructor and a fine host onboard this immaculately kept cruiser.
