Course Schedule

All courses run from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. during daylight savings time and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. during standard time.

 

Basic Keelboat I & II— Each course is a three-day class offered every Tuesday - Thursday and Friday - Sunday.

When Monday is a national holiday, the weekend schedule shifts to Saturday through Monday.

Students may take BK1 and BK2 separately, or they may take all six days of coursework consecutively any Tuesday through Sunday.

Basic Cruising— Three-day course offered Tuesday - Thursday and Friday - Sunday.

When Monday is a national holiday, the weekend schedule shifts to Saturday through Monday.

Bareboat Cruising-- 3-day course offered Tuesday - Thursday and Friday - Sunday.

Students may take Basic Cruising and Bareboat Cruising separately, or they may take all six days of coursework consecutively any Tuesday through Sunday.

Coastal Navigation Lecture & Practical– Six-day course; class follows regular times on the first day, and students live-aboard for the duration of the course. Offered Tuesday through Sunday.

Coastal Passage Making – Six-day course; classes for Part I and Part 2 run 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Part 3 begins at 9 a.m. and students live-aboard for the duration of the course. Offered periodically throughout the year- please contact OSA for upcoming courses.

Ocean Passage Making – Multi-day course; classes include 5-Day Celestial Theory course, 2-Day Passage Preparation course, and 6-10 Day Ocean Passage Practical. Offered periodically throughout the year- please contact OSA for upcoming courses.

Racing – OSA provides Harbor Racing, and Ocean Racing opportunities year-round.
