Come sailiing with us and experience team bonding while enjoying the process of building a skill to last a lifetime. Nothing fosters camaraderie like sailing, topped off with a friendly race.
Like any well-run organization, sailling requires a captain and crew to plan and work together to meet a common goal, divide responsibilities, coordinate activities, communicate effectively, and work together as a team.
Certified instructors join each team for half-day to multi-day programs.
OSA's basic teambuilding program includes:
- An introduction to sailing with dockside instruction.
- Learning sail control and maneuverability in the harbor.
- Learning each function on a sailboat, including rigging, steering,
sheet control and navigation. Team members rotate functions
to learn new skills and gain better appreciation for each team
member's contributions.
- A regatta in which teams race against each other to test their
skills and build friendly competition
- A post-race pleasure sail to discuss the sailiing experience.
All of OSA's programs can be customized
to individual needs and may include events such as a multi-vessel
raft-up, an island picnic or a scenic harbor cruise.
